Der Nassauer Keller in Nuremberg

It was our first time in Nuremberg, so it was the first time in the Nassauer Keller. The boss served us and he was very hectic. It smelled very, very musty in the cellar. The food came relatively quickly. Unfortunately it was inedible. The meat was tough as leather. It's a shame, once and never again.

Very nice medieval ambience in the vaulted cellar directly opposite the Lorenz Church. The food and drinks were okay, the service friendly and the prices rather high. The number of places is very manageable.

Food average. Staff friendly. The name of the restaurant has nothing to do with the food on offer. Salon grill would be more appropriate

Everything is right. Good cuisine, good beer, friendly service and very comfortable.

Very nice vaulted cellar. Does one feel like in the age of knights.

The waitresses are always very charming and extremely obliging. That makes us absolutely happy every time we visit. The restaurant is actually extremely tastefully decorated. No cheap decoration, but most of the colors were very nicely matched to each other. Something I can really recommend are the desserts. Grandpa, Grandma and I have been there for the third time and have tried something new every time we visit, I can only recommend this place!

If you want to eat in a cozy vaulted cellar, you've come to the right place. The entrance is the first highlight. The inventory corresponds to the ambience. The food and service were great. In addition, a delicious beer (or two) in a stone mug rounded it off. It was a very beautiful evening.

Kind of a magical little Hobbit door on a busy corner leads you down steep stairs to this restaurant in the oldest private house in the city. Traditional German fare - and big portions - are served kindly with lots of translation for guests. Great night, and a lovely welcome to the old city.

The best beef roulades I've ever eaten. In addition, a great and consistently friendly service. What more do you want ?!

Characteristic and original restaurant with typical German cuisine. Helpful staff and fast service. Too bad for the really small tables.

The Nassauer Keller is located opposite the St.Lorenz Church in Nuremberg. And it really a cellar vault. The decor is very nice and stylish. The prices are upscale and designed for tourism. The map is fine. The portions are manageable. Be careful when entering, the door is not very high, but it goes straight behind it in the basement. It was a nice experience, but unfortunately nothing for daily retreat.

Nice place in the city centre. The food was good tasting (gulasch) and quantity huge. Served with a salad. Price a bit high, and they discreetly but directly ask for service

Nice restaurant in medieval style. The service was friendly and we got a seat during the week without a reservation. I deduct a point because of the price-performance ratio. The food is solid, but a bit too expensive (at least my dish).

Nice food and place with a great atmosphere, we were extremely hungry after the flight, so it was the first place we visited straight after the airport, were quickly served and enjoyed the nice food

I discovered this restaurant almost by accident and liked it very much. Good german food served in a medieval decor, it was certainly a very pleasant lunch. Good service and reasonable prices, the only remark is that we had to pay cash, cards were not accepted on that day.

Great selection of regional food, this place actually prepares everything from scratch which shows in the rich taste. Portion size is generous - you will be leaving with a full stomach. Friendly service by the owner that makes you feel welcome and entertained, staff speaks English. Setting is an old beautiful cellar dating back 100s of years, feels unique even for Nuremberg and is worth a visit in its own right. Highly recommended!

Situated in a old beer cellar we had the local specialty, the sausages. It was a great lunch.

Very good spargl suppe and kellerbier. Crazy steep stairs and the waiter had to handle it all.

Very slow service during weekday dinner hours. Somewhat below average food. Great location & history of the building.

You will be time travelling 500 years into the past, experience good food, fine beer, friendly service and wonder how you could get through that tiny looking but surprisingly spacious entrance door. Go for it! You will have memories and photos to take home and talk about.

Great food and beer

A really special experience in the Germany. This restaurant is located in the underground. Really old and historical place that recommend travelers go there. Highly recommend people make the reservation before going there. Food is big but delicious. Especially there hamburgers, suggest try the beef one. So good.

We got in at 7:40pm and grabbed the last table of 2. Enjoyed the atmosphere and food.

Saturday evening in this hidden gem is one of the most coolest things I've ever had. The restaurant is accessible through a small doorway at ground level and then through a tunnel(mind your head) downwards to a cellar. From there the Nuremberg cellar atmosphere begins. - very friendly and kind staff; - spacious, fit for groups/couples/families; - massive stone cellar walls, wood furniture, cozy atmosphere; - absolutely delicious food - features season menu - winter menu, spring menu, etc. - Recommend "Keller Bier" ! - Mid-Range Prices Our dinner: 1xGratinated Potatoes with chicken, 1x Water, 1xWild Boar Hamburger(300g) + roasted potatoes wedges, 1x Keller Bier = 43€ Everything was very delicious!

Down-to-earth restaurant with tasty dishes. Very nice old cellar with worth seeing and very steep stairs at the entrance. The ambience is pleasant, in the local it is relatively quiet and you can have a good time. The quality of the food is mediocre, the portions are large, the prices are rather high. The Asian service is very friendly, humorous and accommodating. The place is suitable for a cozy meal in a rustic atmosphere.
